Why do you belittle people?
Rocco, since you are an egotistical jackass, can you tell me why you belittle people with your answers? You seem to hide your inability to answer the questions with legitimate technical knowledge.

Answer: I don't belittle people I just want them to get their head out of their asses. Sometimes you have to show a little tough love. I want you and everyone else that's fat to believe in themselves and begin getting healthy and fat just ain't healthy my friend. Keep up the delusion you'll give me more content for my columns. Thanks
Rocco

Hello Rocco,
Just wanted to say that even although I myself am fat, I agree with what you say. Fat people don't have mental health problems or otherwise, we're just greedy and lazy. The lady who wrote in about her disabled son and being annoyed at fat people being given disability status was absolutely right, thats insane.
Some of the advice I've read on here seems quite good and I might very well take notice.
The only negative comment I would make is that I don't think the use of the word 'stupid' is quite correct. The word 'deluded' is probabaly better. The problem with people who argue outright with the argument that fat people are stupid, is that their missing the point. The argument is 'fat people are stupid because their risking their lives and blaming it on scape goats when in actual fact fat people can only blame themselves'.
Anyway, just thought I'd respond.

I have been an Infantryman in the Army 2 years now and have seen time and again civilians complain about "genetics" before going to Basic. Only to come back 14 weeks later in shape...
Being fat is a choice not a genetic defect. Get up, Move ur lard ass out the door and run. In the Army it's called crawl, walk, run. Start off on ur own level and move from their. Get some thermo burst, hydroxycut, or w/e you need but remember PUSH YOURSELF!!!

Rocco, you are so right! It is unbelievable to me that it has become politically incorrect to lable fat people what they are: lazy and stupid. I get judged and mistreated by fat people all the time -- because I am thin!
Here are some of the stereotypes I've had to deal with from malicious fat people, just because I am a normal and fit:
"You have genetics on your side"
-- screw you, fatso! I do NOT have genetics on my side, any more than genetics made you fat. I work out, and I have exercised my whole life since childhood. I EARNED this thin body, just like you earned your fat one.
"You can eat whatever you want and stay thin"
-- yes, this is true, because I WANT to eat fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. If I wanted to eat processed foods, junk food, take out, and snack foods like you do, I would be fat like you.
"You must have a lot of free time to devote to working out"
-- wrong, fat ass. I have time to work out, ONLY because I make time. I have a 5 month old son that I take care of full time, I am married, and I just started my own small corporation. I don't have a nanny, a cook, a housekeeper, or a personal trainer. Now that I can't go to the gym (I used to go to the gym 5 days a week) I do Tae Bo video workouts, and yoga at home while my baby is playing or sleeping, and I also take him for regular walks in his baby backpack (try walking 3-5 miles with a 20 lb baby strapped to your back, fatty, and you'll soon be thin too).
"Thin people don't eat enough, if they ate like normal people they'd be fat"
-- wrong again, lardo. When is the last time you saw a fat chimpanzee? They eat natural foods -- fruits, vegetables, an occasional insect. They eat as much as they want and are not fat. I eat as much as I want (an average 2000 Kcal per day) in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. Like my chimpanzee friends, I am not fat. If you feed a chimp as much as they want of "normal" foods like twinkies, soda pop, french fries, and chicken nuggets, they would be "normal" Americans -- FAT.
When is this stereotyping going to stop? Fat people are the most BIGGEST Bigots (pardon the pun)

Thank you Rocco for telling it like it is. I myself was part of the fat group. In middle school and high school, I was the short fat kid. While young, I realized the health problems my family members were facing because of poor eating habits, smoking, and lack of exercise. Included in the mix were cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, frequent unnecessary prescriptions, and many doctor visits. I made the decision to get into shape; running, pushups, situps, and pullups became a regular part of my life. Then I joined a group known for their physical fitness...The United States Marine Corps. Within less than four years of the Marines I had earned the rank of Sergeant. I would not have made it that far if I had stayed lazy. Now I myself work as a fitness trainer, have completed a marathon, and currently play rugby for a local team. I will never again let myself go back to being called a "fatass."

Wow...i've never heard people speak so candidly about fat people but I would have to say that I agree. I've seen my fat friends go on diets and work out, lose weight, only to get lazy, and go back to being fat! So I KNOW that its not a genetic thing. And if it is...it's only because "genetics" has mentally caused you to think that it's okay to look like the rest of your FAT relatives. Get out of that state of mind folks...It's all about a new way of thinking! You can "think" away the pounds! Set a goal, stick to it, and don't let "genetics" get in the way!

This is so amazingly refreshing!
I'm 28 year old female, 5'6" and for the last 10 years I have fluctuated between 110-115lbs. I was less before then, I've been skinny forever. I am not nor have I ever been anorexic or bulimic, but I have spent my entire life being harassed by fat strangers!
I am a vegetarian, but only for the last 5 years. I love chocolate, the darker the better, if I want a cookie - I'll eat a couple but not the whole bag, same goes for chips.
I'm a big eater, I feel like I'm always eating, probably 5 small meals a day. I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full.
My excercize is walking the dog when I feel like it.
I hate the way that people can talk crap about skinny people and everyone cheers them on. It's such a load, what does the majority of the world seem to think that bones should be covered with thick lard and if you can see any part of someones spine they assume they are sick, anorexic or bulimic!
The vet says that to tell if your dog is a healthy weight to run your fingers lightly across their rib cage and you should feel, but not see there ribs.
Makes sense doesn't it. Sure you can feel my ribs - but not see them, unless I'm reaching for something on a high shelf etc.
I don't waste my time picking on fat people, I don't give a crap about them, or anyone else, I have a life, and I don't get off on making other people feel bad! Why can't they get lives and leave skinny people alone!?!
