Day 2 - askROCCO Boot Camp 9/13/2006

It looks like no one listened to me on Day 1. So I guess I'll have to create some memorable writing material for you.

Just wanted to say thanks for kicking our asses!! Keep it up. To me that's what Bootcamp means!! I really didn't think I would make it through the second day when I got up this morning, but I have and it hurts GOOD!
Again, I appreciate you taking the time to do this for everyone!! Randy

I love the class!! This is the first time I've ever gotten up so early to work out. It really gets me started for the day. And it really helps that so many people that i work with are in the class too. It's good motivation. Today I was still sore from the first day but once I started, I soon forgot about the pain. It feels good to sweat. I really hate mountain climbers though. They suck!

Everyone kicked ass today. I was very happy to see that all of you braved the rain and showed up. Commitment will breed results, keep it up!

Second day. Thought seriously about not answering the bell because my body was so sore from Day 1. Then I re-evaluated my priorities and goals and decided to step up and commit to this Boot Camp full go. I figured another workout would take the soreness away. Class is a non stop workout, it is hard to catch your breath between exercises. I like the pace keep it up, it pushes everyone in that class. Fit or not fit people, everyone is getting something from this pace. I love that this class rewards you for pushing yourself but also allows you to slow down if needed to catch up.

Great class this morning but let's keep it real. Your email says Rain or Shine not indoors and get rid of the tent. Let's do this overlooking our fine city with only the stars above us. Rain or Shine.

Mountain climbers suck. Please let's do more.

See you Friday OUTSIDE

Today's workout was definitely more challenging then on Monday, but that may have been because I was still sore! There were quite a few of us pooping out at the end it seemed. That's a sign of a great workout to me.
Since you keep asking, I don't hate you. Hate's a strong word, but I definitely am not your biggest fan. You are starting to grow on me though.

Man today kicked my boo-tay!
I brought my roommate with me today and she is excited like I am! And I hate mountain climbers too....I'd rather be doing jumping jacks even though I hate those too! More lunges please!
I'm so friggin sore it aint funny...but "no pain..no gain" so Im gonna keep going at it!
I don't want to be called Fat and Stupid!
Next time...make sure you adjust your mic cuz we couldn't hear you very well in the back Rocco.
...til Friday...signing off
"Sore and sweaty"

Ok I made it to the second workout at the Levee! I woke up earlier than need be, excited about the workout! Excited, knowing it would be HARD WORK! For almost 1 hour! HARD WORK! My calves are killin' me, but that's a good thing! My ambition is to change my body. I am counting on this 12-week program to help me achieve this goal! I have cut out cookies, cakes and pies during this time. I want to give myself every opportunity to succeed! Thank you Rocco for giving back to the community! For everyone who comes, whose life-style is changed, may you good stuff come your way! You are an inspiration and your voice needs to be heard ...especially over the music! I am not coming to hear the music. I am coming to hear you ... and it’s free!

Having trouble with upper and lower leg pain. Pain is good of course...just trying to feel a bit better without making the groans and moans..getting up and down...what do you suggest? mass water? I would assume its just the bad toxins creeping out of my unused muscles...most likely get better in a week or so.

When you find time make another tape...counting crows two sessions in a row???..but hey it's free..I'd listen to Men at Work "Cargo" every track if I had too.

Do your Ian Anderson impersonation again!

WOW! I can't belive I am dragging my butt out of bed at 6am to get to this class. My butt and legs are so sore that I can barely walk but no pain no gain right? Rocco, what can I say about him...he is great! I love the way that he has motivated me to get into shape and i love the way he is running this boot camp. It is fun. My goal here is to loose 15 lbs before now and the end of October when I turn 40. No matter how sore my body is, I can not fail at this. This is simply far too important. Thanks rocco for this opportunity.

I came in to the class thinking "There is no way this class is going to push me." I can run 6 miles in under 50 min., then do 50 jackknife sit-ups and 50 push-ups" To my surprise, I hit a brick wall on the Mt. climbers, push-ups and sit-ups. I learned some new exercises that I have never practiced. I know it is good to mix up your exercises. My regular work-out was getting boring and I have a hard time pushing myself.

I think all the good aspects are ; free bottle of water, location, music, pace and trainer.

I am on a college student budget, so, I really can't afford a personal trainer. I am glad this class is free. Thanks 12 week boot camp!

I made it through the 1st week of bootcamp, the first night, i couldn't move, tuesday even when i breathe it hurt, but i took your advise and took lukewarm bath wednsday, felt a little better, and by friday, hooray!!! i never did mountain climbers before, but my goal is to be able to do them before the end of bootcamp. this is what i sing to myself doing the mountain climbers:

"donuts, pizza, cherry pie, this is why I have fat thighs, 12 weeks of bootcamp and Rocco assured me, I'll be on my way to be a lean, sexy, babe"
